Delivery Information: we aim to deliver your order within 2 working days. Royal Mail 1st class for UK. Standard postage is £3.95.

Free Delivery to UK mainland address: Free delivery is currently available on all purchases delivered to addresses in the UK. These addresses include Scottish Highlands & Islands, Isles of Scilly, Isle of Wight and Isle of Man. This offer is subject to an minimum order value of £50.00

Packaging Policy: In order to minimise our impact to the environment we aim to keep packaging to a minimum. We do pack your order appropriately for your order to arrive safely.

This policy and together with our Terms and Conditions of Use and any other documents referred to in them , sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you or that you provide to us, will be processed by us. Information that we collect from you: Any information that you provide by filling in forms on this website. This includes information provided at the time of subscribing for any services provided by us through the site (including updates). If you contact us ( by post, email, or any other method), we may keep a record of that correspondence.

However, you accept the risk that data transmitted electronically to the site or otherwise may be intercepted before reaching the site or accessed from our data storage by third parties not authorised by us and may be exploited unlawfully by such unauthorised third parties.

Once we have received your information, we will use reasonable endeavours to keep your information confidential and store it on a secure server which is password protected and hidden behind a firewall from the outside world. Internal procedures cover the storage access and disclosures of your information.

Your credit card details are handled by SagePay, a secure online payment gateway for credit card processing. All transaction information passed between our site and the SagePay systems is encrypted using 128-bit SSL certificates. No cardholder information is ever passed unencrypted. You can be completely secure in the knowledge that nothing you pass to the SagePay servers can be examined, attempting to gain access to sensitive information.

To verify this, when placing an order using the site a padlock will appear in your browser. It is normally in the status bar, towards the right hand side, at the bottom of your browser window. You can double click this padlock to verify that the secure certificate has been issued to the site. Please note that email correspondence with us is in a free format text and cannot be encrypted.

Accordingly please do not send any sensitive information,such as credit card details or passwords via email.

Any changes we make to our Privacy Policy in the future will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, notified to you by email.

Returns Policy

Here at The Cornwall Yarn Shop we want you to be happy every time you shop with us. In the unlikely event that you are not entirely happy with your order, our Returns Policy explains what you can do.

If we have sent you the incorrect item, please notify us by emailing info@thecornwallyarnshop.co.uk as soon as possible. Please return the incorrect item and specify the correct details in writing. We will not charge you for the incorrect item and will reimburse your reasonable costs in returning it.

Returns to The Cornwall Yarn Shop must be accompanied by the original receipt, order number, customer email address, phone number and delivery address. All goods should be sent recorded delivery and must be insured for the value of the contents. When returning items you are strongly recommended to obtain proof of posting. The Cornwall Yarn Shop cannot accept responsibility for parcels lost in transit until you return items to us you are responsible for the safekeeping and taking reasonable care of them

Cancellation of an order: You have the right to cancel an order anytime up to and including seven days after delivery. For a full refund you must contact us by writing or email, not by phone, within seven days. The goods must be returned unopened and in a resaleable condition. You will be responsible for the original shipping costs and the cost of returning the items. The Cornwall Yarn Shop cannot accept responsibility for parcels lost in transit. Within 30 days you will receive a cheque or a credit will appear on your credit/debit card.

Out of Stock Items: In the event that we do not have enough stock to complete your order you will be notified by email or telephone. You may wish to have your requested items placed on a "back-order", take part delivery or cancel the order. Please note that it can take between 7 and 14 days to restock from some suppliers.

Terms and Conditions

Online Terms and Conditions of Purchase ( The Terms): These terms apply to all orders which you, the customer ( "you" or "Your"), place using this website, "www.thecornwallyarnshop.co.uk" ( the website), which is operated by The Cornwall Yarn Shop ( "we", "us" or "our"). Please read them carefully before placing your order and print a copy for future reference. By placing an order on this website you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms, the Terms and Conditions of Use, the Privacy Policy and other such policies as we notify you of from time to time, which together constitutes the entire agreement between us. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights, whether as a consumer or otherwise.

The Contract with us: When you place an order to purchase items using our website this is an offer by you to us to purchase those items. We will confirm receipt of your order by sending you an email summarising the details of your order ( order confirmation email ). We accept your order only when we send an email confirming that we have despatched the items in your order. ( dispatch confirmation email). The contract between us is formed at the point we send the dispatch confirmation email in respect of those items mentioned in the dispatch confirmation email. If your order contained a number of items and the dispatch confirmation email mentions only some of them, those items which have yet to be dispatched to you do not form part of that contract.

Prices and Payment: The products are invoiced in GBP sterling at the price prevailing at the time you place your order. We do not charge VAT at the present time. Delivery is charged extra. Please refer to our Delivery Information above for details. Prices displayed on the website apply to online purchases only.

You may pay for the items which you order online by supplying your credit/debit card details on the secure online order form. We accept most major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex and Switch). We regret that we cannot accept cheques, gift vouchers or cash as payment online.

When you place your order, our system will automatically ask your card issuer for authorisation for this amount. If we get a valid authorisation, your card issuer will hold this value expecting a charge from us. Receipt of your credit card details and debit of payments does not constitute our acceptance of your order.

Please note that we cannot guarantee the security of data you send us by email. Accordingly please do not send us payment information using email. For details of the security measures we employ please read our Privacy Policy. Unless we are fraudulent or negligent we will not be liable to you for any losses caused as a result of unauthorised information you provide us when placing an order.

Delivery: Standard deliveries to UK addresses- via Royal Mail Service.Payment will be taken at the time of order and you will be notified once your order has been dispatched. Delivery occurs when the items are delivered to the delivery address you specified when placing your order. At this point, responsibility for loss and damage passes to you. Ownership of items purchased does not pass to you until payment is received by us in full.

Cancellations: If you wish to cancel your order, please contact us info@thecornwallyarnshop.co.uk. As we try to process orders immediately it may not always be possible to prevent an order from being dispatched. If your order has already been dispatched you may return the item to us in accordance with our Returns Policy.While we use reasonable endeavours to ensure that the information on the website is accurate and up to date, we do not give any warranty as to its accuracy or completeness and we shall not be responsible for any errors or omissions or for the results arising from the use of such information.

Losses: We will be responsible for any losses you suffer as a direct result of us breaching these Terms, if the losses were reasonably forseeable to both you and us at the time the contract between us was formed ( ie. at the point we send the Dispatch Confirmation email to you).

In no event shall we be responsible to you or any other third party for

1. any business loss (including loss of revenue, profits, contracts, anticipated savings, wasted expenditure, data or goodwill) or

2.any loss or damage which does not result directly from our actions or the actions of our subcontractors or agents, is consequential or was not forseable to both you and us when the contract between us was formed. While we use reasonable endeavours to ensure that the information on the Website is accurate and up to date, we do not give any warranty as to its accuracy or completeness and we shall not be responsible for any errors or omissions for the results arising from the use of such information.

Our liability to you under these Terms will not exceed the total price charged for the items purchased. Nothing in these Terms excludes our liability to you for personal injury or death caused by our negligence.No person who is not a party to these Terms shall have any right to enforce any term under the Contracts ( Rights of Third Parties ) Act 1999.

Events Beyond Our Control: We will not be responsible to you for any delay or failure to comply with our obligations under these Terms if the delay or failure arises from any cause beyond our reasonable control.

Alterations Of This Website And Terms: We reserve the right at anytime to make changes to this website, these Terms, the Privacy Policy and other such policies as we may notify you. You will be subject to the policies and terms and conditions in force at the time you use the website or order items from the website. Changes which we are required to make by law could apply to orders which you have already made.If any of the terms and conditions forming the contract between us are deemed invalid, void or unenforceable for any reason, it will be deemed severable and not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining terms and conditions.

Waiver: If you breach there Terms and we take no action we will still be entitled to use our rights and remedies in other situations where you are in breach.

Governing Law And Jurisdiction: These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
